The main aim of the Fitness Receptionist is to deliver excellent customer service to Planet Fitness members, potential members, and guests for a pleasant experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Offer exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting members, visitors, and potential members with a warm welcome.
• Undertake the responsibility of managing all aspects of the front desk, ensuring a high level of professionalism and efficiency at all times:
• Offer a pleasant greeting to callers and provide guidance for their inquiries.
• Put the individuals on the register.
• New member sign-up.
• Take prospects on a comprehensive tour of the club.
• Provide assistance to members for updating their accounts.
• Customer service is all about making the customer feel valued, heard, and respected. Responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner is a crucial component of this process. If you can't resolve an issue, there's no shame in escalating it to an Assistant Manager or Manager.
• Aid in the upkeep and cleanliness of the club's premises.

• Candidates with customer service experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Basic computer proficiency.

• An unwavering commitment to punctuality and reliability is necessary.
• Shows incredible skills in customer service; skillful in communicating in a polite and efficient way with both patrons and colleagues, exceeding the customers’ expectations.
• A good listener who can empathize and utilize problem-solving abilities for effective solutions.
• Utilize diplomatic language and behavior when interacting with others to avoid any possible misunderstandings or conflicts.
• All applicants must have either a High School diploma or the GED equivalent to qualify for this position.
• Any person below the age of 18 is not considered eligible.
• CPR/AED Certification required.

Physical Demands

• The need to remain standing or in motion for the entirety of the work shift persists.
• Continuous discussion either on the telephone or in person during one's scheduled shift.
• Prospective candidates must demonstrate that they can lift weights of up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis to be considered for this role.
• Working in this environment might involve exposure to toxic substances on occasion.
