Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Staff Management:

• Take charge of inspiring and cultivating a group of workers to drive efficient store operations and meet sales goals.
• Attract, employ, educate, and keep competent staff to fulfill store workforce requirements.
• Oversee and offer direction to all store staff, guaranteeing adherence to company protocols.
• Carry out consistent assessments of employee performance and offer constructive feedback regularly.

Sales & Customer Service:

• Provide outstanding customer support through welcoming and aiding clients while resolving any issues they may have.
• Boost store revenue through the promotion of Dollar General items, maintaining inventory levels on shelves, and executing successful merchandising tactics.
• Make use of sales data and reports for the purpose of tracking and enhancing sales outcomes.

Inventory & Merchandising:

• Supervise the reception, storage, and rotation of goods to uphold precise stock quantities and guarantee product accessibility.
• Execute and uphold store planograms, guaranteeing that products are showcased in compliance with corporate guidelines.
• Performing routine inventory checks and audits help avoid shrinkage and reduce financial losses.

Financial Management:

• Oversee the financial aspects of the store by monitoring expenses related to employee wages, cash management, and stock levels.
• Make sure to follow the protocols for managing cash, such as maintaining records of cashier responsibilities, depositing funds in banks, and upholding the security guidelines of the organization.
• Supervise and control expenditures to guarantee that the store functions in accordance with the allocated financial plan.

Operational Excellence:

• Keep the store tidy, orderly, and in good condition consistently.
• Keep precise documentation of sales, payroll, and additional administrative responsibilities.
• Make sure the store adheres to all company guidelines, protocols, and lawful requirements.

Safety & Compliance:

• Ensure a secure work environment by following safety protocols and organizing frequent safety briefings.
• Make sure the store follows local, state, and federal regulations, including those related to health and safety.

Community Engagement:

• Cultivate connections with clients and the surrounding neighborhood to enhance the store's favorable image.
• Conduct yourself with professionalism and ethics while representing Dollar General.

Required Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or its equivalent is required, with a preference for candidates holding an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• At least one year of supervisory experience within a retail setting is required.
• Effective leadership, excellent communication, and strong organizational abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to oversee various responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and adhere to timelines.
• Proficient problem-solving abilities and capacity to independently resolve issues.
• Capacity to execute mathematical operations like adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and calculating percentages.

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of regularly lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to remain on one's feet for extended durations and engage in frequent movement within the retail space.
• Proficiency in utilizing essential store machinery such as cash registers, handheld devices, and pallet jacks.
