As a Gym Floor Customer Service Representative at Planet Fitness, you will play a key role in ensuring members have a positive experience by maintaining a clean and safe workout environment, providing excellent customer service, and assisting members with their fitness needs. This position requires a friendly, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who enjoys interacting with people and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Responsibilities

• Member Assistance: Provide excellent customer service by assisting members with equipment use, answering questions, and offering support as needed.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure the gym floor and equipment are clean, organized, and in good working condition. This includes regular sanitization, re-racking weights, and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Safety and Compliance: Monitor the gym floor to ensure members are following club policies and safety guidelines. Address and correct any unsafe or inappropriate behavior.
• Customer Service: Address member concerns, complaints, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Promotions and Programs: Support and promote special events, fitness programs, and club promotions to enhance member engagement and retention.
• Equipment Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of all gym equipment and be able to demonstrate proper usage to members.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.
• Administrative Tasks: Assist with front desk operations, including answering phones, checking in members, and handling member accounts as needed.

Qualifications

• Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in customer service or a related field is preferred.
• Fitness Knowledge: Basic understanding of fitness principles and equipment use.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle challenging situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking and time-management abilities.
• Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, outgoing, and personable attitude.
