Responsibilities of the Store Operations Coordinator include maintaining a clean and organized store environment that prioritizes customer service. The role involves assisting customers, operating the cash register, restocking merchandise, organizing the store layout, cleaning, and addressing any other tasks delegated by the Store Manager. Additionally, in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, the Store Operations Coordinator assumes leadership responsibilities to drive store profitability, enhance customer satisfaction, and safeguard company assets.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:

• Ensure exceptional customer service by welcoming and helping customers.
• Utilize the cash register and scanner in order to itemize and calculate purchases, receive payments, issue change, and package merchandise.
• Follow the standard operating procedures of the company for accepting, unpacking, and managing inventory. Rotate items on the shelves and arrange visually enticing displays for the merchandise.
• Perform cleaning duties in the store such as taking out trash, dusting off surfaces, mopping floors, and ensuring the restrooms and stockrooms are clean.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of planograms.
• Execute the opening and closing routines under the guidance of the Store Manager.
• Undertake supplementary tasks normally managed by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager when they are unavailable.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Competent in interpersonal and oral communication efficiency.
• Knowledge of safety measures and protocols.
• Competence in understanding and following planograms and directives for merchandise arrangement.
• Mastery of mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Proficient in handling transactions through cash registers.
• Proficiency in implementing and enforcing cash, facilities, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in cash handling processes, encompassing monitoring cashier accountabilities and managing deposit controls.
• Competence in driving a vehicle to fulfill the need for making bank deposits when necessary.

Work Experience and Education:

• Preference is given to candidates with a high school diploma or its comparable credential.
• Candidates with some experience in a supervisory capacity or suitable training are preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Daily tasks involve walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling repeatedly.
• Regular utilization of merchandise and instruments like scanning devices, pricing tools, and cutting utensils.
• Consistent lifting of objects up to 40 pounds and intermittent lifting of objects up to 55 pounds.
• Intermittent scaling of ladders up to six feet tall.
• Ensure the noise remains at a reasonable volume in a quick environment.
• Occasional confrontations with outdoor weather conditions.
• Offering driving services to facilitate activities like depositing money at the bank, attending meetings, or visiting other stores.
