Responsibilities:

About the Cleaning Technician Role:As the Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the facility to ensure an outstanding member experience. Cleanliness is critical to the Planet Fitness brand and the safety of our team members and members.

These responsibilities include:

• Adhere to Planet Fitness' cleaning standards when sanitizing and disinfecting communal areas such as restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the Black Card Spa.
• Adhere to the established routine for vacuuming the floor surfaces and operating the floor cleaning equipment.
• Implement appropriate waste disposal methods and upkeep of trash receptacles and sanitation stations.
• Ensure supplies and paper goods are refilled as necessary and update the Club Manager on inventory needs.
• Maintain cleanliness by dusting high-up items such as ceiling fans, televisions, and rafters.
• Inform the Club Manager if any amenities or equipment, such as toilets, taps, gym machines, hair dryers, etc., are not functioning properly or are missing.
• Utilize the washing machine and dryer.
• Ensure cleanliness equipment is properly cared for, including tasks like cleaning the mop bucket and disposing of vacuum bag contents.

The responsibilities of the Cleaning Technician on a daily basis may include:

• Offer greetings to club visitors as they enter and leave, providing support with any queries or uncertainties while they register.
• Answer incoming calls politely and support individuals with their concerns.
• Ensure accurate execution of retail transactions and meet sales objectives.
• Attend to member complaints effectively and involve a Manager if required.
• Consistently inspect all club sections to promptly address any safety or policy irregularities and address cleanliness matters promptly.

Qualifications:

About Your Qualifications:

• Prioritize candidates with a background in cleaning and sanitizing.
• The minimum age requirement is 18 years and above.
• Eager to get certified in CPR/AED with training available at Planet Fitness.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Demands of the Cleaning Technician:

• Consistent standing and movement are required to carry out tasks effectively during the shift in the club.
• Regular in-person or phone discussions for exchanging information throughout the shift.
• Must demonstrate the ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Exposure to harmful substances is inevitable while on duty.
• Consistent cleanup and disinfection of tools and spaces are necessary.
• Using various body movements, like bending and twisting, to complete activities.
