Dollar General's OTR Delivery Driver must safely drive a commercial vehicle to transport goods between distribution centers, stores, and other locations. Their primary objective is to deliver items on schedule and accurately while following all federal, state, and company regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct safe and efficient driving of a Class A commercial vehicle.
• Provide freight services to move goods between distribution centers and retail locations.
• Before setting off and upon arrival, carry out examinations of the vehicle to identify any problems.
• Keep in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
• Maintain precise logs that document both driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
• Deliver and handle freight based on the established delivery route.
• Comply with designated routes and schedules for transportation and delivery.
• Maintain contact with dispatch for real-time updates on routes and deliveries.
• Project a professional attitude when interacting with both store staff and clientele.
• Notify the maintenance team promptly of any vehicle-related safety concerns or malfunctions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Holding a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for Class A.
• The standard age threshold is usually no younger than 21 years.
• Demonstrating a clean driving history with minimal infractions.
• Complying with the DOT's guidelines for physical and medical conditions.
• Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in regional or OTR (Over-the-Road) driving.
• Skilled in efficiently managing time and possessing excellent organizational aptitude.
• Aptitude for picking up, conveying, and shifting freight as required.
