To create a fantastic member experience, the Gym Membership Consultant must provide superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, potential members, and guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by providing a friendly greeting to members, visiting guests, and potential members.
• Provide comprehensive front desk support services, which include handling and responding to all calls, emails, and visitor interactions:
• Respond to calls in a professional fashion and aid those seeking assistance with their questions.
• Sign people into the computerized system.
• New member sign-up.
• Offer guided visits for potential new members.
• Help members to keep their accounts current.
• By providing top-notch customer service, your organization can differentiate itself from the competition and earn a reputation as a trusted provider. Make sure you're doing everything possible to deliver exceptional customer service, and don't hesitate to escalate issues as necessary.
• Contribute to the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the club.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Experience in customer service is considered an asset.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• A strong desire to stay healthy and maintain an active lifestyle.
• Having a positive outlook is not only beneficial to oneself, but can also inspire and uplift those around us
• Establishing a reputation for being dependable and on time is imperative.
• Possesses remarkable customer service abilities; has the knack for cultivating favorable and proficient relationships with members and co-workers, surpassing the customers’ expectations.
• Possesses the ability to actively listen, empathize and devise practical solutions.
• Approach all interactions with diplomacy, utilizing thoughtful communication and understanding.
• A GED certificate or a High School diploma is a mandatory requisite for this job.
• Those who are 18 years or older can take advantage of this opportunity.
• CPR/AED Certification required.

Physical Demands

• The continuous act of standing or walking throughout the workday is still a requirement.
• Unceasing dialogue either via personal interaction or through phone calls during working hours.
• To meet the requirements of this job, the hopeful must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• One may have to deal with hazardous chemicals during their shift.
