Planet Fitness is hiring for Fitness Club Manager

The Fitness Club Manager's primary duty is to supervise all aspects of gym activities to guarantee a consistently outstanding member experience and the financial prosperity of the facility. This position involves guiding and cultivating an efficient team in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that prioritizes customer service, employee growth, and operational success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Staff Management

• Source and employ, onboard, instruct, and nurture a top-performing group comprising Assistant Managers, Customer Service Representatives, Instructors, and Janitors.
• Set a positive example for others to follow and ensure team members are responsible for upholding the organization's values and objectives.
• Organize the staff timetable to guarantee that all shifts are adequately staffed.
• Manage staff grievances, address performance challenges, and implement disciplinary procedures.
• Carry out the payroll processing on a weekly or bi-weekly basis and generate necessary human resources paperwork.

Customer Service & Front Desk Operations

• Foster an inclusive and non-discriminatory space for every individual who enters, ensuring everyone feels accepted and valued.
• Provide aid with reception duties such as managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, and handling inquiries at the front desk:
• Answering phones
• Member check-ins
• New member sign-ups
• Providing tours
• Resolving member issues

Facility Operations & Maintenance

• Make sure the gym opens and closes promptly as scheduled.
• Keep the facility tidy, secure, and operating efficiently.
• Recognize and document necessary equipment maintenance.
• Supervise routine cleaning duties on a daily basis.

Marketing & Financial Oversight

• Make sure the team receives training on the latest marketing campaigns.
• Approve spending and handle reimbursements.
• Ensure to deposit money into the bank each day.
• Monitor and document club performance indicators on a regular basis, including weekly, monthly, and yearly assessments.

Backup Support

• Offer assistance to various departments and fill in for missing staff members as required.

Qualifications/Requirements

• A high school diploma or its equivalent, a GED, is necessary.
• A minimum of 12 months of background as a Club Manager or Assistant Manager in the fitness sector within the last five years is required.
• Demonstrating robust leadership capabilities alongside adept organizational and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office suite and other computer software programs.
• Full of energy, dedicated, and passionate.
• CPR Certification (current).
• Individuals must be at least 18 years old to participate.

Physical Demands

• Maintain a standing position and move consistently throughout the work period.
• Engage in regular face-to-face or telephone conversations.
• Lift weights up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• There is a possibility of coming into contact with cleaning substances while on duty.
• Required to commit to 45 hours of work per week.
