Job Overview

The role of Distribution Center Driver at Dollar General encompasses managing regional and dedicated routes for transporting merchandise between distribution centers and stores. Duties & Responsibilities

• Securely and efficiently deliver freight to retail stores.
• Unpack and pack merchandise at every stop along the delivery route.
• Adhere to DOT regulations as well as safety policies specified by Dollar General.
• Keep shipments arriving promptly at stores and distribution facilities.
• Perform vehicle inspections both prior to departure and upon return.
• Deliver exceptional service to store teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Possessing a legally approved Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• At least one year of tractor/trailer driving experience is a prerequisite for the role.
• Eligibility necessitates that the individual is at least 21 years old.
• Awareness of the requirements outlined in DOT regulations and federal standards for motor carrier safety is key.
• Effective in unloading and dealing with freight that weighs up to 50 lbs.
