The Fitness Center Assistant Manager is accountable for overseeing the daily operations of the gym to uphold a positive member experience and drive financial success. This role is pivotal in preparing individuals for leadership positions in the management structure.

Primary functions and job requirements:

• Assist in overseeing member services to maintain high-quality customer experiences.
• Fulfill responsibilities at the front desk, which involve welcoming potential customers and showcasing the gym through tours.
• Support in the resolution of member problems and addressing any inquiries they may have.
• Provide support to the Club Manager in times of need.
• Ensure the gym's tidiness and general presentation are well-maintained.
• Assist in marketing initiatives and ensure that the staff is adequately trained on promotions.
• Help is sought for ordering supplies, overseeing inventory, and keeping track of reports.

• Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to both members and guests for a superior experience.
• Listening: Demonstrate active listening skills and empathetic responses while interacting with customers to resolve any issues.
• Problem Solving: To engage in effective problem-solving, one must identify challenges, analyze situations, and work towards resolutions.
• Diplomacy: Maintaining professional and respectful communication at all times is central to the concept of diplomacy.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Skilled in delivering excellent customer support
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Competence in using computers at a foundational level is important
• Being at least 18 years old is a prerequisite

Physical Demands:

• Engaging in standing and walking activities for at least three-quarters of the shift
• Ongoing verbal discussions through direct interaction or phone calls, amounting to no less than 75% of communication
• Possesses the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs periodically (less than 30% of the time)
