The Guest Relations Specialist must offer an excellent level of customer service to contribute to a pleasant member experience at Planet Fitness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Give a friendly welcome to both current members and potential members alike by providing excellent customer service.
• Execute the full range of duties associated with running the front desk, from greeting visitors to providing first-class customer service:
• Respond to incoming calls with a friendly demeanor and aid callers in resolving their concerns.
• Check-in the personnel on the system.
• New member sign-up.
• Show around individuals who are considering membership.
• Support members in updating their accounts effectively.
• If there's a problem you can't resolve, don't hesitate to escalate it to an Assistant Manager or Manager. They are there to help and have the resources to handle complex issues. Your organization's goal is to create a positive member experience, and promptly addressing member concerns is an important part of that effort.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the club.

Qualifications/Requirements

• It is advantageous to have past involvement in customer service.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• A deep-rooted enthusiasm for exercise and taking care of one's body.
• Cultivating a positive attitude is essential for overcoming obstacles and achieving one's goals
• The importance of being punctual and reliable cannot be overstated.
• Demonstrates impressive expertise in customer service; adept in establishing favorable and professional relationships with customers and coworkers, outperforming the customers’ desires.
• Someone who is skilled at listening and has the ability to understand and resolve problems.
• Interact with others in a way that shows respect and sensitivity toward their feelings and viewpoints.
• Prospective candidates must possess either a High School diploma or an equivalent GED degree.
• Only those who have reached the age of 18 or above are permitted.
• CPR/AED Certification required.

Physical Demands

• The practice of constant standing and walking remains an essential part of the job.
• Consistent talking over the phone or in person while on shift.
• The job seeker should have the strength to lift loads up to 50 pounds from time to time to qualify for this role.
• Workers may face exposure to hazardous chemicals from time to time.
