Planet Fitness is hiring for Fitness Center Representative

Providing top-notch customer service to Planet Fitness members, future members, and guests will be the primary responsibility of the Fitness Center Representative.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting members, potential members and visitors.
• Undertake all activities pertaining to the front desk, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of daily operations:
• Answer phone calls with a pleasant attitude and provide support for various questions.
• Record the attendance of members.
• New member sign-up.
• Accompany interested parties on a walkthrough of the premises.
• Assist members to make any essential modifications to their accounts.
• Ensuring that you respond to member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally is critical. Members should feel heard and valued by the organization. By acting on their questions or concerns quickly, members will feel respected and more likely to trust and recommend your organization.
• Take initiative in keeping the club clean and organized.

Qualifications/Requirements

• A background in customer service is a preferred qualification.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• A fervent dedication to staying in shape and leading a healthy lifestyle.
• A cheerful and hopeful demeanor can serve as a fundamental foundation for success and happiness
• Promptness and consistency are essential requirements.
• Exhibits exceptional customer service proficiency; competent in interacting amiably and expertly with members and peers, surpassing the customers’ hopes.
• Possesses strong listening skills and can sympathize and find solutions.
• Practice the art of diplomacy by always maintaining composure and exhibiting proper decorum.
• The prerequisite for this position is a High School diploma or its alternative, the GED.
• To qualify, a person must be over 18 years old.
• CPR/AED Certification required.

Physical Demands

• The requirement to stand or walk without pause for the duration of the shift persists.
• Non-stop communication either in face-to-face or phone conversations during working hours.
• One of the requirements for this position is the ability to occasionally carry weights of up to 50 pounds.
• It's not uncommon to come into contact with noxious substances while on duty.
