Planet Fitness is hiring for Facility Maintenance Worker

The primary role of the Facility Maintenance Worker is to ensure a positive member experience by keeping all areas of the facility clean and tidy.

Fundamental duties and roles

• Conduct a comprehensive cleaning and disinfecting routine for restrooms, locker rooms, gym gear, and the workout floor.
• Keep locker rooms well-stocked with necessary items and paper goods.
• Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment (toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment, etc.) to the Club Manager.
• Make sure to promptly hand over any lost items belonging to members to the Club Manager or Assistant Club Manager in accordance with the Lost and Found Policy.

Qualifications/Requirements

• A preference is given to candidates with custodial experience.
• Meeting deadlines and being reliable are non-negotiable.
• A necessity for this position involves working the third shift.
• Truthfulness and a dedicated attitude toward work.
• Having the aptitude to tackle problems independently.
• Demonstrate tactfulness in every interaction, utilizing appropriate behavior and language.
• Candidates must possess a High School diploma or a GED that is deemed equivalent.
• Participants must have reached the age of 18 years to be eligible.

Physical Demands

• Regularly being on your feet and moving around while on duty.
• Regular stretching and reaching with hands, fingers, and arms during the shift.
• The job may entail occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching throughout the workday.
• Capable of lifting loads over 80 pounds on occasions.
• It is possible to be exposed to poisonous chemicals on occasion.
