Job Overview

Dollar General is currently recruiting Dedicated Truck Driver to manage regional and dedicated routes, focusing on the transportation of merchandise from distribution centers to retail locations. These drivers must maintain prompt and secure deliveries and follow necessary federal and state transportation guidelines.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure secure and timely transportation of store-bound freight.
• Disembark and embark goods at each drop-off point.
• Ensure adherence to DOT guidelines and Dollar General safety procedures.
• Maintain timely shipment schedules for stores and warehouses.
• Complete pre-journey and post-journey checks on allocated vehicles.
• Offer top-notch service to store teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Holding a valid Class A CDL.
• Candidates must have at least one year of driving experience with tractor-trailers.
• Individuals need to be at least 21 years of age to qualify.
• Familiarity with the rules set forth by the DOT and federal safety standards for motor carriers is crucial.
• Proficient in handling and lifting freight up to 50 lbs.
