Responsibilities:

About the Facility Sanitizer Role: As the Facility Sanitizer, you will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the facility to ensure an outstanding member experience. Cleanliness is critical to the Planet Fitness brand and the safety of our team members and members.

These responsibilities include:

• Follow Planet Fitness cleaning guidelines to meticulously clean and sanitize shared spaces like restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the Black Card Spa.
• Follow the designated timetable to vacuum the floors and utilize the floor scrubber machine as needed.
• Dispose of waste correctly and ensure the cleanliness of garbage bins and cleaning areas.
• Restock necessary items such as supplies and paper products when they run low. Inform the Club Manager about any inventory requirements.
• Remove dust from elevated objects like ceiling fans, TVs, and overhead beams by cleaning them regularly.
• Notify the Club Manager of any defective or absent facilities or tools such as toilets, sinks, showers, hairdryers, workout gear, etc.
• Run the washing machine and dryer.
• Keep up with the maintenance of cleaning tools such as cleaning the mop bucket and regularly emptying the vacuum bags.

The Facility Sanitizer's daily duties may also involve:

• Welcome club attendees as they arrive and depart, aiding them with inquiries and issues during the check-in process.
• Respond to phone calls in a welcoming tone and help callers with their questions.
• Perform transactions in retail with precision while achieving sales targets.
• Address member issues promptly and elevate them to a Manager when necessary.
• Regularly conduct thorough inspections of all club premises; promptly rectify any safety or policy discrepancies and attend to cleanliness issues.

Qualifications:

About Your Qualifications:

• Having experience in cleaning and sanitizing is advantageous.
• Individuals must be at least 18 years old to be eligible.
• Ready to obtain CPR/AED Certification through training offered by Planet Fitness.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Demands of the Facility Sanitizer:

• Continuous standing and mobility are necessary to complete responsibilities while on duty at the club.
• Consistent verbal or telephonic interactions to share updates throughout the work period.
• Capable of carrying weights of up to 75 pounds.
• Toxic chemicals will be present during the duration of the work period.
• Regular maintenance and disinfection of machinery and premises are essential tasks.
• Achieving tasks by shifting body positions, such as bending and turning.
