Responsibilities
About the Club Service Associate Role:
In the capacity of a Club Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to Planet Fitness members, guests, and potential members, fostering a comfortable and accepting environment
Daily responsibilities for the Club Service Associate include:
- As people enter and exit the club, extend a warm welcome to everyone and offer support by addressing any issues or questions they may need assistance with.
- Join our gym and become part of our non-judgmental community. Our team members are dedicated to offering you the support you need while upholding our Judgement Free Zone policy.
- Respond to member feedback and refer to a Manager if necessary.
- Extend a courteous and helpful demeanor while addressing callers and attending to their inquiries.
- Manage tasks directly linked to membership such as signing up for membership, modification of contact and billing details, termination of subscriptions, collection of unpaid balances, and transferring membership to another entity.
- Conducting member assessments and tours with potential members to gauge their membership needs.
- Perform retail transactions with attention to detail and strive to surpass sales aspirations.
- To ensure a healthy and hygienic environment, it is crucial to clean and disinfect all exercise equipment and Black Card spa amenities regularly. This applies to both communal spaces and member-assigned areas.
- Adhere to the cleaning schedule to prevent clutter and maintain cleanliness in the restrooms, ensuring that they are ready for use at all times.
- Routinely conduct thorough inspections throughout the club to ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards. Take prompt action to correct any safety hazards and cleanliness issues.
- It is essential to deal with facility and maintenance concerns, such as broken or missing equipment and leaky fixtures, promptly to avoid further damage and inconvenience to users.
Qualifications
About Your Qualifications:
- The preferred applicant should have 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment.
- This service can only be availed by an individual who is 18 years of age or older.
- Members of Planet Fitness who want to be certified in CPR/AED can receive the necessary training and become qualified to provide emergency aid.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Physical Demands of the Club Service Associate:
- Frequently engaged in physical movement and standing while fulfilling job responsibilities at the club.
- Consistent exchanging of information via phone or face-to-face interaction throughout shift.
- The potential employee should exhibit the skill set to transport objects weighing a maximum of 75 pounds.
- During their work hours, staff may encounter harmful chemicals.
- Diligent efforts towards maintaining cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and premises.
- Employing various methods of body positioning, such as bending and twisting, to complete tasks efficiently.
