Job Summary:
The Retail Operations Manager supports in upholding a tidy and efficiently arranged store that prioritizes customer needs. Working under the guidance of the Store Manager, this position oversees staff, organizes merchandise, finalizes documentation, and arranges deposits. Aside from overseeing stocking and cash responsibilities, the Retail Operations Manager carries out additional tasks to enhance profits and ensure customer contentment, all while safeguarding the company's resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer care by welcoming and aiding patrons, managing cash registers, and detailing transactions.
- The store should be opened and closed a minimum of two times per week.
- Aid the Store Manager in organizing employee work schedules, conducting training sessions, holding safety briefings, and overseeing adherence to regulations.
- Adhere to procedures for handling goods, such as accepting, unboxing, shelving, replenishing, and rearranging items in inventory.
- Ensure precise inventory quantities by managing losses, price reductions, and performing site inspections.
- Execute and uphold planograms in order to guarantee that products are exhibited according to company guidelines.
- Maintain financial transparency by enforcing accountability among cashiers, overseeing key management, and ensuring compliance with cash control protocols.
- Process refunds and approve overrides, reconcile cash registers, and make bank deposits.
- Oversee the store operations when the Store Manager is not available.
Qualifications:
Skills Required:

- Exceptional ability to organize tasks with meticulous attention to specifics.
- Proficiency in understanding and analyzing diagrams, safety protocols, and instructional handbooks.
- Skilled in carrying out arithmetic operations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and calculating percentages.
- Skilled in operating cash registers and producing reports efficiently.
- Understanding of procedures for managing cash, overseeing facilities, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Education/Experience:
- Preferred: Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Preference is given to candidates with one year of retail background and six months of supervisory skills.
Working Conditions:
- Regularly walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling are common activities.
- Consistent management of goods and tools, such as portable scanners, label applicators, carton openers, hand trucks, U-shaped utility carts, and wheeled containers.
- Regularly lifting weights up to 40 pounds, with occasional lifts of up to 55 pounds.
- Infrequent ascent using a step ladder up to a height of six feet.
- The work setting is characterized by a quick tempo and a moderate level of background noise.
- Infrequent contact with natural elements.
- Providing transportation for the purpose of depositing funds at the bank and attending meetings related to store management when required.
