Responsibilities:
About the Facility Maintenance Cleaner Role: As the Facility Maintenance Cleaner, you will be responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of all areas of the facility to ensure an outstanding member experience. Cleanliness is critical to the Planet Fitness brand and the safety of our team members and members.
These responsibilities include:
- Thoroughly sanitize and clean common areas like restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the Black Card Spa in accordance with Planet Fitness' cleaning standards.
- Perform vacuuming of floor areas and manage the operation of the floor scrubber machine as per the designated schedule.
- Maintain cleanliness in waste disposal areas and manage trash bins effectively.
- Keep track of the stock of supplies and paper items and notify the Club Manager of any inventory needs.
- Eliminate dust from high areas like ceiling fans, TVs, and rafters to promote a cleaner environment.
- Report any damaged or absent facilities or equipment (toilets, faucets, exercise machines, hair dryers, etc.) to the Club Manager.
- Employ the washing machine and dryer.
- Maintain the cleanliness of equipment by routinely cleaning the mop bucket and emptying vacuum bags as needed.
Daily responsibilities of the Facility Maintenance Cleaner may also include:
- Provide a warm welcome to individuals entering and exiting the club, helping them with any questions or issues during the check-in procedure.
- Handle phone conversations with a pleasant attitude and aid individuals seeking information.
- Conduct retail transactions with precision to meet sales performance goals.
- Respond to member grievances and escalate to a Manager when essential.
- Regularly survey all club spaces to swiftly remedy any safety or policy infractions and tackle cleanliness problems promptly.
Qualifications:
About Your Qualifications:
- Candidates with a history of cleaning and sanitizing are desired.
- Access is limited to those who are 18 years or older.
- Interested in becoming certified in CPR/AED through Planet Fitness training.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Physical Demands of the Facility Maintenance Cleaner:
- Non-stop standing and mobility are essential for completing tasks while working at the club.
- Persistent exchanging of information through personal or telephonic discussions throughout the shift.
- Should be able to handle items up to 75 pounds in weight.
- Employees will face hazardous chemicals throughout their work hours.
- Routine disinfection and tidying of machinery and locations are important practices.
- Accomplishing objectives by changing body postures, such as bending and rotating.
